(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On June 17, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Investment Policy Appraisal Council Vo Tan Duc chaired a working session with the Council to review reports on the investment policies and adjustments for 9 projects to be implemented in the province in 2024.

During the meeting, the Provincial Investment Policy Appraisal Council approved the adjustment of investment policies for 8 projects, including: The La Nga River flood prevention embankment project and the Nguyen Van Cu Road project in Tan Phu District; The Dong Canal dredging project and the Tan Trach Stream dredging and embankment construction project in Vinh Cuu District; The Lo Gach - Nuoc Trong Bridge Road project and the Phuoc Binh - Bau Can - Cam Duong Road project in Long Thanh District; The pre-feasibility study project for the road from Vuon Mit intersection to Vo Thi Sau Road in Bien Hoa City; and the Command Center project of the Provincial Police.
The Council also approved new investment policies for the anti-erosion project at the memorial area for the soldiers of the 113th Special Forces Brigade in Hoa Nai 3 Commune, Trang Bom District.
The total additional capital required for the 9 projects, both newly approved and adjusted, is over 1 trillion VND, to be allocated from the province's 2024 public investment fund that has not yet been distributed.
Speaking at the session, Acting Chairman Vo Tan Duc emphasized the need for localities to improve the quality of project investment policy formulation. Among the 8 projects approved for investment policy adjustments, some have proposed significant increases in total investment, posing challenges to capital management. Furthermore, the development and proposal of projects must be thoroughly reviewed and adjusted. Some projects have been proposed for nearly a decade but have yet to be implemented. This not only affects businesses and investors but also hinders the province's socio-economic development.
