That was the direction of Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang at a meeting with departments and localities to remove problems related to land, auction, bidding and investment procedures of 8 industrial parks (IPs) in the province on October 14.

In the planning of Vietnam's industrial zones approved by the Government, Dong Nai has 8 new industrial zones that have not yet been established, namely Cam My, Gia Kiem, Phuoc Binh, Phuoc Binh 2, Long Duc phase 2, Long Duc 3, Bau Can - Tan Hiep, Xuan Que - Song Nhan.
The total area of the above industrial zones is more than 8.2 thousand hectares in the areas of Long Thanh, Nhon Trach, Cam My, Thong Nhat. Currently, industrial zones are facing a number of problems related to investment procedures, treatment of rubber land, forest land, determination of auction, bidding, zoning planning, etc. In which, most of the entangled issues fall under the jurisdiction of the ministries and the Government.
Deputy Head of Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority Pham Van Cuong spoke at the meeting.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hoang emphasized that currently, Dong Nai's industrial zones are about 86% filled, the remaining area can be rented very little because there are still problems with compensation and site clearance. Therefore, the province must quickly remove obstacles for new industrial park projects to build technical infrastructure. If the new IPs are slow to deploy, then in the next 1-2 years, Dong Nai will face difficulties in attracting investment in industrial zones because there is no more land for domestic and foreign investors to rent. This will affect the economic development of the province.
