Dong Nai province: Total export turnover hits US$1.2 billion in first two months

According to the information from Dong Nai Customs Bureau, the total export turnover in Dong Nai province has reached US$1.2 billion as at February 28, 2009, of which the export turnover was US$682 million, and the import turnover recorded US$603 million, accounting for 75% over the same period last year (US$1.7 billion).

Wood products for export

  

The export turnover of some essential commodities in the first two months includes: wood and wood products US$52.96 million, reaching 148% over the same period last year; textile US$105.5 million, accounting for 112% against the same period; and footwear US$157.89 million, occupying 106% over the same period last year. The collection of import-export taxes in the province gained VND657 billion, representing 97% over the same period and 15% compared to the target of the year 2009 (equivalent to VND4,508 billion).
