Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport said that right after
the National Assembly approved the investment policy to build the Ring Road No.
3-Ho Chi Minh City Project on June 16, Ho Chi Minh City along with other
localities had expeditiously coordinate the implementation of the next tasks
within their authority. According to the direction of the Government,
localities are accelerating the progress, trying to start the project in June
2023, instead of by the end of 2023 as planned previously.
According to the proposed plan, in July 2022, the Government issued a resolution to implement the resolution of the National Assembly. October 2022, start handing over the site and by the end of 2023, at least 70% of the site will be handed over. The project implementation period is 36 months, the project aims to open the whole route to traffic, basically complete the expressway in October, 2025 and complete the whole project in 2026.
According to Mr. Le Dinh Tho, Deputy Minister of Transport, the investment project to build the Ring Road No. 3-Ho Chi Minh City is a big project with a very short implementation time, so localities should carry out certain works accordingly. While submitting to the Government for promulgation, other tasks must be done at the same time. The hardest part is the clearance work, which needs to be done quickly but surely. Definitely, at the time of starting construction, there must be 70% of the ground for the project management board to carry out the construction.
According to the resolution on investment policy of the project approved by the National Assembly, the investment project to build the Ring Road No. 3 - HCMC has a total length of more than 76km, passing through 4 localities including Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Dong Nai and Long An, in which the section passing through Dong Nai Province is more than 11 kilometers. The project will be divided into 8 component projects in the form of public investment. The total investment of the project is more than VND75 thousand billion.
