According to the Department
of Statistics of the province, in the first three months of 2021, the value of
agricultural production reached over 9.6 trillion VND, increased 3.78%.
Particularly, the value of aquaculture production reached nearly 633.6 billion
VND, increased 5.44% compared to the same period, ranked in the top of growth
compared to other crops and livestock.

The total output of aquatic products in the province in the first quarter of 2021 reached nearly 16.8 thousand tons, increased nearly 5.5% compared to the same period last year. In particular, the output of aquaculture products reached over 14.8 thousand tons, increased more than 6.7% compared to the same period last year. Aquaculture production were mainly kinds of fish with production of more than 13 thousand tons, increased 7.2% compared to the same period.
The increase in aquaculture production is due to the fact that consumers are now increasingly preferring to use aquatic food. On the other hand, the aquaculture has been gradually shifted by people to raise according to safe process, branding with VietGAP's prestige and quality, so the farming output increased significantly compared to the same period.
