Dong Nai: 54.529 Million kWh of Electricity Saved

Up to now, Dong Nai has saved 54.529 million kWh of electricity, Mr Ho Minh Quang, Vice Technical Manager of Dong Nai One-Member Power Limited Company said.

Compact fluorescent light bulbs are being installed in a poor household

It is necessary to implement electricity efficient policies concerning lighting in public places and in administrative agencies and to call for the public to use energy efficient devices such as compact fluorescent light bulbs and solar water heaters.

Dong Nai One-Member Power Limited Company will cooperate with the Department of Trade and Industry in developing energy efficient solutions to public lighting, in reaching 10 percent of administrative agencies saving energy and in calling for its customers, who are using electric advertising signs to cut down 50 percent of their electricity consumption, Quang added.

Additionally, Dong Nai One-Member Power Limited Company Main will keep calling for the public to use energy efficient devices, Quang continued.

It is known that Dong Nai One-Member Power Limited Company has recently signed a cooperation agreement with Dong Nai Youth Union on replacing 40,000 compact fluorescent light bulbs in poor households for energy efficiency purposes, provided assistance for poor households and carried out an extensive propaganda campaign to disseminate energy-efficiency guidelines to the public.
