Meanwhile, the latest data from the Vietnam Register shows that in 2023, the number of cars with 9 seats or less, purchased and registered by customers for the first time, reached more than 296.7 thousand units. This data includes domestically produced and assembled vehicles, genuine imported vehicles, non-genuine imported vehicles...

Among provinces and cities across the country, Hanoi continues to be the leading locality in automobile consumption with more than 46.3 thousand vehicles; Ho Chi Minh City ranked second, with more than 39.1 thousand cars of all types. Ranked 3rd is Nghe An province with the number of cars purchased reaching more than 10.3 thousand vehicles.

Notably, Dong Nai ranked 4th with more than 10 thousand purchased vehicles. In addition, in the top 10 provinces and cities purchasing the most cars in Vietnam, there are also localities such as Thanh Hoa, Binh Duong, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Da Nang, Quang Ninh.

The localities that bought the fewest cars in Vietnam in 2023 (less than 1,000 cars/year) include: Lai Chau, Bac Kan, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Kon Tum, Bac Lieu... ​
