(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of Vietnamese Doctors' Day (27/02/1955 – 27/02/2025), on the afternoon of February 24th, a provincial delegation led by Mr. Ho Thanh Son, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and extended congratulations to the staff, doctors, and employees of Dong Nai General Hospital.

The delegation included Mr. Dao Van Phuoc, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Organization Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Ho Van Nam, Member of the Standing Committee and Secretary of the Bien Hoa City Party Committee; Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hoang, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mrs. Luu Thi Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, along with leaders from the Provincial Party Committee Office and the Provincial People's Committee Office.
According to Dr. Ngo Duc Tuan, Director of Dong Nai General Hospital and a specialist in level II, the hospital has made significant advancements since its new facilities became operational. Currently, the hospital has 1,150 beds and several outstanding specialized departments equipped with advanced facilities and qualified staff capable of performing high-level techniques in fields such as cardiology and oncology. The hospital is also one of the few provincial hospitals in the country to receive the "Platinum Standard Certification for Stroke Treatment" from the World Stroke Organization (WSO).
In the near future, Dong Nai General Hospital plans to establish three specialized centers: the Cardiology Center, the Oncology Center, and the Emergency Center. Additionally, the hospital is preparing the necessary documentation to begin kidney transplantation procedures by the first quarter of 2025, with the assistance of experts from Cho Ray Hospital.
"There are currently many patients in Dong Nai who require kidney transplants. If the hospital can perform this procedure, it will save many end-stage renal failure patients," said Director Ngo Duc Tuan.
The director also noted that thanks to the province's supportive policies and effective financial autonomy, the quality of life for the hospital's staff, doctors, and employees has improved significantly. The hospital now employs 370 doctors, and there are no longer cases of doctors resigning. The entire workforce operates with dedication and enthusiasm.
Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Sơn praised and highly appreciated the efforts of the staff, doctors, and employees of Dong Nai General Hospital. These efforts significantly contribute to the province's mission of caring for public health.
The Permanent Deputy Secretary expressed hope that the workforce at Dong Nai General Hospital would continue striving to achieve the development goals outlined by the hospital director. He emphasized that if the hospital could achieve special-grade status before 2030, it would be even better, as it would allow Dong Nai residents to enjoy higher-quality healthcare services sooner.
Mr. Ho Thanh Sơn also advised the hospital's management to enhance the application of technology in their operations. He affirmed that with the current social welfare policies of the Party and State, the healthcare sector would receive adequate budget allocations for training and public healthcare. He urged Dong Nai General Hospital to proactively prepare detailed and specific plans to submit to the Provincial People's Committee for review and approval by the Provincial Party Committee.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Doctors' Day, the Permanent Deputy Secretary extended his best wishes for health and happiness to all the staff, doctors, and employees of Dong Nai General Hospital. He encouraged the hospital to strive harder to fulfill its healthcare mission successfully.
In addition, Permanent Deputy Secretary Ho Thanh Sơn and other provincial leaders visited and congratulated the staff of the Department of Health Protection and Care for Provincial Officials.
He requested the hospital's management to prioritize assigning highly skilled doctors to perform medical examinations and care for provincial officials and other managed groups.
