On February 11, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc and
Vice Chairman Ho Van Ha chaired a meeting of the Provincial Appraisal Council
regarding the establishment of a 1:2000 zoning plan for Phuoc An Industrial
Park in Nhon Trach District and Long Duc 3 Industrial Park in Long Thanh
District.
Overview of the Meeting
Regarding Phuoc An Industrial Park, the consulting unit, the National Institute of Urban and Rural Planning, reported that the planning scheme has fully met the legal requirements as stipulated. This industrial park covers an area of 330 hectares and is characterized as a service port industrial park and an ecological green industrial park, aligning with the province's sustainable development goals.
During the process of finalizing the planning scheme, the unit received 23 feedback documents from various departments, sectors, and localities. The comments addressed legal characteristics, statistical data, transportation planning, green space, electricity, communication, water supply and drainage, wastewater treatment, and land areas for union facilities, security, fire prevention, and labor accommodation. The consulting unit has incorporated these suggestions into the planning scheme.

At the meeting, several members of the Provincial Appraisal Council also provided additional feedback on related matters for the consulting unit to review and refine the planning according to existing realities.
For Long Duc 3 Industrial Park, which spans 244.5 hectares, the basic planning contents have been suggested for review and adjustment by the consulting unit. Additionally, some other matters were raised, such as the lack of a specific electricity and gas supply plan. The Department of Industry and Trade recommended adding a 110kV power line to supply electricity to Long Duc 3 Industrial Park. Furthermore, Long Thanh District is currently adjusting the boundary of the industrial park to align with an existing road.

Industrial Park
This industrial park connects with Long Duc 1 and Long Duc 2 Industrial Parks, as well as the future Long Thanh Airport urban area. Moreover, functional areas will be developed, necessitating considerations for housing for residents serving the industrial park.
Provincial leaders requested that the consulting unit for the planning of the two aforementioned industrial parks incorporate the feedback from relevant departments and localities, continuously update and refine the planning schemes for each industrial park. Based on this, the council will review and approve the plans and assign the investor to develop the detailed zoning plan. These two industrial parks are identified as modern, green development zones aiming for net-zero emissions, so the planning and attraction of future investment projects must adhere to the criteria set by the province; otherwise, non-compliance will result in rejection.
