(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On the afternoon of February 11, Vice Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc chaired a meeting with leaders of the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA), relevant departments, and localities to hear a report on the review and acceleration of the construction planning of industrial parks in the province. Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Van Ha also attended.

Chairman Vo Tan Duc
addressed the meeting.
According to the report from the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority, there are currently 36 established industrial parks in Dong Nai with a total area of over 12,800 hectares, of which 31 parks are operational and the Long Thanh High-Tech Industrial Park is under construction. Additionally, 4 new industrial parks have been established, including Long Duc 3 Industrial Park, Bau Can Tan Hiep Phase 1 Industrial Park; Xuan Que - Song Nhan Phase 1 Industrial Park, and Phuoc Binh 2 Industrial Park. DIZA is currently organizing the planning for 10 out of 16 industrial parks, of which 4 parks have secured investors. The remaining 6 out of 16 industrial parks are set to begin the planning steps in February 2025.
A noteworthy issue arising in the planning, appraisal, and approval of planning documents involves many components and steps, resulting in an execution time of up to 780 days. To shorten the planning time, DIZA proposed that the Provincial People's Committee allow the simultaneous bidding for selecting contractors for topographic surveys and for the planning project. This would reduce the time for establishing planning tasks and planning projects executed by the winning consulting unit, as well as some contents directly advised by the Industrial Zones Authority to ensure that the completion time for the zoning planning documents for industrial parks is approximately 445 days.
After listening to the contributions from relevant departments and localities, Chairman Vo Tan Duc concluded the meeting by stating that in the development planning of the province, industry remains a crucial driving force. To achieve double-digit growth in accordance with the Government's directive for 2025, Dong Nai must swiftly resolve the bottlenecks concerning industrial land to create a foundation for attracting investment. The Chairman welcomed the proposal from DIZA to shorten the planning time, focusing on the 4 industrial parks that have already selected investors to expedite the construction of technical infrastructure and to soon provide land for investors to lease.
