(News Portal – Dong Nai) - Recognizing the importance of digital transformation (DT), various youth organizations in the province have recently implemented numerous models and activities to promote digital transformation.
Among these activities are efforts to raise awareness among youth members and the general public about digital transformation.
Raising Awareness about Digital Transformation
Throughout the year, the Provincial Youth Union has launched campaigns to encourage digital transformation within the community, guiding the installation of electronic identification accounts and the use of online public services. Youth teams have been mobilized to participate in community digital transformation efforts, transferring technical knowledge, and promoting the use of population data.

Moreover, this year, the Provincial Youth Union will continue to organize the Dong Nai Youth Festival in conjunction with Digital Transformation Week. A key difference this year is that the festival will take place in three locations: Dinh Quan, Trang Bom, and Bien Hoa City. The festival has supported and guided residents in adopting cashless payment methods and using online public services. Youth members have been instructed on how to livestream the sale of OCOP products and youth-created products on e-commerce platforms; they have received training to ensure safety and information security in cyberspace; and they have participated in an amateur filmmaking contest. This contributes to enhancing the awareness of youth members and the public regarding digital transformation.
In 2024, the Provincial Youth Union will also launch a campaign for civilized behavior in cyberspace among youth members in Dong Nai. This campaign encourages youth to adhere to general behavior rules, including: "Compliance; Healthy interaction; Safety; Responsibility."
Youth organizations will create suitable promotional materials based on practical situations regarding “youth behavior in cyberspace," using modern visuals aligned with youth trends to advocate for each criterion. They will develop a handbook to guide youth on participating in online activities, equipping them with knowledge and skills to identify and combat harmful and fake information.
Additionally, there will be regular campaigns encouraging youth members to share and post messages about civilized behavior on their social media accounts. Various online movements will be organized to attract a large number of youth members to participate, contributing to spreading positive and official information and images. Youth members will also be encouraged to sign online commitments regarding civilized behavior in cyberspace. Regular updates will be provided on essential information and knowledge for youth regarding new issues and predictive content on the dynamics and development of the internet and social networks. Skills for managing media crises in cyberspace will be enhanced for youth organization officials at all levels.
This effort aims to create a significant shift among youth members regarding their awareness and responsibility in handling information on social media, while enhancing the promotion of the Party's policies and the State's regulations in managing social networks, fostering positive behaviors among youth members, and contributing to building a safe and healthy online environment.
Promoting Digital Transformation Through Action
In 2024, the Provincial Youth Union has implemented a software platform for managing outstanding youth members in the province. By September 2024, 542 local youth organizations have utilized the software to update data on outstanding youth members, loyal members, and young party members. As a result, over 3,800 outstanding youth members, 247 loyal members, and 856 young party members currently engaged in youth activities have been updated in the software. This facilitates accurate and convenient tracking, statistics, and reporting of data for youth organizations, enhancing the effectiveness of the source development work for the Party.
Additionally, the application for the eighth Congress of the Dong Nai Youth Union (term 2024-2029) has been launched, featuring basic functions such as news, documents, forums, results of the congress committee's elections, organization statistics, attendance tracking for the provincial congress, and work programs. This application aids youth organization officials and delegates in monitoring overall activities related to the congress, allowing them to access congress documents and track member information across the province. The application will also serve as a repository for information after the successful organization of youth congresses at all levels.
Alongside the implementation of software and applications, in 2024, the Provincial Youth Union has organized numerous activities that both create engaging environments and promote the proactive spirit of youth members in digital transformation initiatives.
Among these activities is the contest for innovative ideas to reform administrative procedures in Dong Nai in 2024, aimed at encouraging the proactive, dynamic, and creative spirit of young officials in proposing initiatives and improving working processes, thereby enhancing the quality and effectiveness of work. This year's contest received nine ideas and solutions related to digital transformation, education, and online public services.
