According to the Department of Planning and Investment, based on the results achieved in 2024 and the province's current situation, as well as forecasts of domestic and global economic conditions, Dong Nai has set 25 key indicators for the province's economic, social, defense, and security development in 2025. These include: 5 economic indicators, 4 environmental indicators, 9 social welfare indicators, 3 indicators in culture, education, and training, 4 indicators in defense, security, and public sector information safety.

To achieve these goals successfully, the Provincial People's Committee has outlined several key task groups for 2025: prioritizing efforts to boost economic growth; accelerating the development of modern and synchronous infrastructure, with a focus on critical national and inter-regional transport projects; continuing the restructuring of sectors and industries, incorporating digital transformation and green transition; enhancing cultural development, ensuring social welfare, and improving the material, spiritual, and health standards of the population; raising the quality of human resources, advancing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; strengthening land and resource management, environmental protection, fostering green development, and proactively responding to climate change; improving state administrative organization, justice, and combating corruption, waste, and negative practices; ensuring defense, security, and facilitating international integration.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized that the province is targeting a GRDP growth rate of 10% in 2025, up from the previously proposed 7.5-8.0%. Given that Long Thanh International Airport and other economic growth hubs are still under development, this ambitious goal requires all departments and localities to make concerted efforts from the very beginning of the year.

Chairman Vo Tan Duc also instructed all units to focus strongly on disbursing public investment capital early in the year, particularly for key provincial projects and works. He urged decisive action to revoke slow-moving projects, establish effective mechanisms to attract selective foreign investment, and expedite planning processes. Concurrently, he called for synchronized measures to sustainably increase budget revenues, emphasizing domestic revenue sources and land-related revenues. Strict savings in expenditures, especially in investment-like operational spending, and limiting new purchases of public vehicles and assets in line with regulations were also highlighted.
