(News Portal – Dong Nai) - In
recent years, the cultural sector in Dong Nai has made significant strides in
applying digital technology to preserve, promote, and spread the province's
cultural values.
Not only have cultural agencies collaborated effectively, but local governments have also been proactive in digitizing cultural content to reach people at the grassroots level.
Efforts in Digital Technology Application
One of the most effective applications of digital technology has been in administrative reform, enhancing services for citizens and businesses, and improving the efficiency of administrative procedures. Currently, 50% of fully online public services in the cultural sector have been integrated and are available on the National Public Service Portal. Online payments for services on the portal account for 82.1% of total transactions, while 70% of administrative procedures requiring financial obligations are handled online.
Notably, the cultural sector piloted a "Submit Now - Immediate Results" model starting October 3, 2024, for two administrative procedures: receiving notifications for advertising on billboards, banners, and processing notifications for advertising groups. The service is conducted on the first Thursday of each month, and results are issued on the same day. For example, on October 3 and November 7, 13 advertising-related administrative requests were processed, with results delivered immediately to individuals, businesses, and organizations.
Beyond administrative reform, libraries and museums have actively applied digital technology to connect with readers, residents, and tourists both inside and outside the province. The provincial library's digital resources now include more than 16,000 digitized documents, newspapers, magazines, and maps, while district and city libraries hold over 6,000 digital resources. Since 2022, the provincial library has digitized over 400 local documents containing approximately 540,000 pages.
In addition to efforts in cities like Bien Hoa and districts such as Long Thanh, Vinh Cuu, and Thong Nhat, several localities have also implemented virtual exhibitions. For instance, in 2024:
Nhon Trach District organized a virtual exhibition titled "30 Years of Nhon Trach's Development."
Long Khanh City created a virtual exhibition on "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Spaces", allowing visitors to access the content via QR codes on smartphones and tablets.
Nguyen Viet Son, Director of Dong Nai Museum, shared that the museum has digitized information on 8,500 artifacts and heritage sites, integrating them into a management software system provided by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
In 2024, Dong Nai Museum implemented a 360-degree virtual tour of the national historical site Nguyen Huu Canh Temple and Tomb in Bien Hoa City. It also digitized 31 dossiers on national and special national heritage sites and prepared virtual exhibitions on Cat Tien National Park's biodiversity and national treasures.
Promoting Dong Nai's Land and People
The Dong Nai Art Theater is a pioneer in applying digital technology to introduce, promote, and spread its artistic creations to audiences both inside and outside the province. With over 300 performances annually, the theater has engaged audiences through live performances, livestreams on Facebook, and YouTube.
Dong Nai Art Theater's reformed opera productions are archived and promoted in the digital space.
Thanks to digital
technology, the theater has made it easier to archive and promote artistic
programs, particularly reformed opera performances. This allows the public to
revisit any program or performance and interact directly or indirectly with
artists and performers via technology. Such efforts have created opportunities
for artists and audiences to connect, helping Dong Nai’s art reach a broader
audience.
The Dong Nai Center for Culture and Cinema Applies Technology to Introduce Cultural Programs on Social Media in 2024.
The Dong Nai Center for Culture and Cinema has consistently introduced dozens of cultural programs, mobile propaganda campaigns, and virtual exhibitions via its fan page and website. In 2024, the center organized virtual exhibitions on themes such as: "Seas and Islands – The Heart of Viet Nam", "A Unified and Joyful Nation", "Dong Nai – The Land, Culture, and People".
Deputy Director of the Dong Nai Center for Culture and Cinema, Do Thi Hong, emphasized the continuous application of digital technology in its activities over the years. The center focuses on creating virtual exhibitions that serve dual purposes: promoting political missions and bringing vibrant cultural stories and imagery to citizens, especially those in remote areas and ethnic minority communities. These virtual exhibitions and cultural programs contribute significantly to promoting the image, people, and culture of Dong Nai to the public.
