(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On November 29, Deputy Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung chaired a meeting to hear reports from the investor units under the supervision of Task Force No. 2 regarding the public investment capital disbursement situation for 2024.
Deputy Chairman Nguyen Son Hung delivers concluding remarks at the meeting.
According to the Department of Planning and Investment, Task Force No. 2 of the Provincial People's Committee is responsible for monitoring and urging the disbursement of public investment capital for 2024 across ten investor units, including the following departments and entities: Natural Resources and Environment; Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs; Information and Communications; Agriculture and Rural Development; the Provincial People's Court; the Provincial People's Procuracy; the Dong Nai Industrial Zone Authority; Dong Nai Children's Hospital; the Sports Training and Competition Center; and the Long Khanh City People's Committee.
As of November 31, six units still reported a disbursement rate of 0%. For the remaining six units, the disbursement rates ranged from over 5% to more than 71% of their plans. Comparing with the performance agreements established at the beginning of the year, as of October 31, two investor units assigned by the Provincial People's Committee achieved disbursement rates over 60%—the Sports Training and Competition Center and the Long Khanh City People's Committee. The other eight units are lagging in disbursement. Regarding funds allocated by the district-level People's Committees, the units have not met the targets outlined in their signed agreements.
In his concluding remarks, Deputy Chairman Nguyen Son Hung urged the investor units that have committed to disburse 95-100% of their capital plans in 2024 to accelerate project progress to fulfill their disbursement commitments. The Provincial People's Court and the Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs were specifically asked to review and provide detailed reports on the capital disbursement for the projects assigned to them. Dong Nai Children's Hospital, in particular, needs to make a concerted effort to ensure that its disbursement reaches over 95% of the planned capital in line with the province's overall objectives.
