In recent times, together with the nation, the Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance has collaborated with related units to organize numerous training programs on the collective economy and cooperatives. These programs primarily focus on topics related to the 2023 Cooperative Law, strategies to enhance management effectiveness in production and business, and strengthening the functions of the Cooperative and Business Support Center under the Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance.

Actively Promoting the 2023 Cooperative Law

On November 8, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance held a conference to raise awareness about the collective economy and cooperatives. According to Mr. Dinh Hong Thai, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, Vietnam's collective economy has made many positive strides in recent years, showing growth in both quantity and quality. As of November 2024, the country has nearly 34,400 cooperatives, 139 cooperative unions, and close to 91,000 cooperative groups, with total charter capital exceeding 69 trillion VND. The collective economy sector has made significant contributions to the nation's socio-economic development, helping to create jobs, increase incomes for workers, boost production and business, and improve the material and spiritual lives of citizens.

Through the contributions of provinces, cities, and exemplary cooperatives and cooperative unions, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance has been able to identify challenges in implementing the 2023 Cooperative Law. Based on these insights, the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance will compile recommendations to the Government and relevant ministries to refine legal regulations and policies, creating a favorable legal framework for the collective economy and cooperative sector to develop further.

In Dong Nai, on September 4, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 295/KH-UBND on developing the collective economy and cooperatives in Dong Nai in 2025. The Provincial People's Committee requested relevant departments, sectors, the Provincial Cooperative Alliance, and localities to review the results of previously implemented support policies; study new central regulations and policies related to the 2023 Cooperative Law; and advise the Provincial People's Committee on concretizing and effectively implementing these policies in the province in the coming times. Another critical task is to focus on effectively implementing policies such as supporting the establishment of new cooperatives, training and coaching cooperative officials and members, promoting trade, applying science and technology, and addressing land policies to ensure swift policy implementation in real-life practices.
Enhancing the Effectiveness of the Cooperative Support Center

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hien, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance, shared that in recent times, the organization has collaborated with related agencies such as the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Provincial Farmers' Association, the Provincial Women's Union, and the Provincial Youth Union to implement programs related to the development of the collective economy and cooperatives. The focus has been on sharing management knowledge and skills with leaders and officials of cooperatives in the province and signing cooperative agreements between parties to support the development of the collective economy. Additionally, the Đồng Nai Cooperative Alliance has sent officials to learn from experiences in provinces with strong collective economies to identify new directions and connect support programs.

To maximize its effectiveness, from now until 2030, the Cooperative and Business Support Center will focus on programs such as human resource training, support in science, technology, and environmental protection; assistance in trade promotion and market expansion; consulting services; and helping cooperatives participate in digital transformation programs.
