According to the Party Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Committee, after removing three projects that are nearly complete from the list, there are currently 25 key projects and constructions in the province, of which 8 are under construction.
In 2024, the total public investment capital allocated for key projects and constructions is over VND 7.4 trillion, accounting for more than 36% of the total budget for 2024. As of October 24, more than VND 3.7 trillion in allocated capital for key projects had been disbursed, reaching nearly 61% of the plan and marking an increase of over 13% compared to August 2024.

Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Vo Tan Duc, stated that while progress has been made in implementing and disbursing capital for key projects, it still falls short of expectations. The main obstacles affecting the progress of key projects remain land clearance and coordination between related agencies. With the remaining time in 2024 running short, it is critical that all units maximize their efforts to meet the disbursement targets.
Speaking at the conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh emphasized that the slow disbursement of public investment capital results in significant waste. The General Secretary and the Government are currently reviewing wasteful projects across localities. Therefore, Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh requested that the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Commission collaborate with the Party Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Committee and local authorities to review delayed and wasteful projects, reporting them to the Provincial Steering Committee for Key Projects for solutions and accountability measures.

Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh also agreed with the proposal to transfer some provincial tasks to local authorities based on the principle that tasks should be assigned to those who can execute them effectively, thus promoting responsibility and capacity. He also requested that investors in key projects re-establish the progress indicator for each project from now until the end of 2024 and into 2025.
In concluding the conference, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Ho Thanh Son, urged the Party Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to work with the Office of the Provincial Party Committee to finalize the list of projects proposed for inclusion among the province's key projects. Additionally, local authorities are advised to propose solutions to the Party Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Committee regarding support policies for households that are not eligible for resettlement when the State acquires land for project implementation. Furthermore, the Provincial People's Committee is requested to direct relevant bodies to agree on a unified approach to utilizing land resources to generate capital. Based on this, local authorities can proceed with implementation.
