​(News Portal – Dong Nai) – A delegation from Dong Nai Province, led by Central Party Committee member and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh, recently held a working session with the Da Nang City Party Committee to exchange experiences in urban management, compensation, land clearance, and resettlement support.

On behalf of Da Nang City, Central Party Committee member, City Party Secretary, and Head of the Da Nang National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang, along with leaders of various city departments, welcomed and worked with the Dong Nai delegation.

At the meeting, Da Nang leaders expressed their pleasure in welcoming the Dong Nai delegation to share and discuss experiences in urban management, development, and processes related to compensation, land clearance, and resettlement support. 

Overview of the meeting 

According to Da Nang's leaders, when the province of Quang Nam - Da Nang was split into Quang Nam Province and Da Nang City in 1997, the city's urban infrastructure was underdeveloped. Since then, successive generations of Da Nang's leadership have made significant efforts to invest in infrastructure and renovate the city. A key focus has been the construction of bridges spanning the Han River, which has spurred the development of the eastern bank of the river, resulting in the beautiful urban landscape that today stretches along both sides of the Han River.

During the meeting, the leadership of Da Nang also shared their experiences in urban management, smart city development, digital transformation in construction and real estate management, and the enforcement of construction regulations. Additionally, the city discussed its use of information technology in technical infrastructure management, environmental protection, climate change adaptation, investment attraction, and urban renovation.

In his remarks, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh noted that Dong Nai, located in the Southeast region of Viet Nam, has a long history of industrial development. In recent years, in addition to its industrial growth, the province has been striving to advance in other areas such as tourism, organic and high-tech agriculture, and especially the service sector, to create new spaces for growth. The development of services and urban management, alongside sustainable urban renovation, are two areas Dong Nai province is actively promoting.​

According to Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh, Da Nang is one of the cities that has gained valuable experience and achieved significant results in urban development. Therefore, Dong Nai seeks to learn from Da Nang's experience in two key areas: urban management and compensation and land clearance to create new spaces for development. These efforts will help Dong Nai in developing its urban areas and driving growth in the coming years.
