​(News Portal – Dong Nai) – On October 21, Member of the Central Party Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, chaired a meeting with KN Holdings Corporation Joint Stock Company (KN Holdings) and Tan Hiep Industrial Park JSC to discuss the progress and challenges in implementing the Bau Can - Tan Hiep Industrial Park project. The meeting was attended by Deputy Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, leaders from various departments, and Long Thanh district officials.

During the meeting, representatives from Tan Hiep Industrial Park JSC reported that, following the Prime Minister's decision approving the investment policy for the Bau Can - Tan Hiep industrial park, the company, as the project's investor, has been actively coordinating with the province's relevant agencies to expedite the necessary procedures. The aim is to quickly establish a modern, next-generation industrial park of regional significance.

However, the company is currently encountering several challenges, including legal procedures and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI). As a result, Tan Hiep Industrial Park JSC has submitted proposals to the provincial authorities, requesting assistance in overcoming these obstacles, particularly concerning planning and infrastructure connectivity.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc emphasized that the Provincial Party Committee agreed to allocate funds from the 2024 budget for the Dong Nai Industrial Zones Authority (DIZA) to prepare a master plan for the Bau Can - Tan Hiep industrial park. The Department of Construction has been tasked with guiding the cost estimation for the planning process, which is to be completed by October 30, 2024. The company is to coordinate with relevant bodies to ensure the planning documents are updated in compliance with legal regulations, while ensuring thoroughness and coherence with other plans. The Provincial People's Committee will also push for the acceleration of traffic connectivity projects in the area.

Speaking at the meeting, Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh pointed out that Dong Nai currently needs more industrial land to meet development demands. Therefore, resolving difficulties in industrial park development projects is crucial to attract investment. Attracting investment is key to providing the province with the resources needed for accelerated development.

Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh also advised the Provincial People's Committee to focus on the proposed model for the Bau Can - Tan Hiep industrial park. Future industrial parks in the province should be developed in a green, friendly, and smart manner to align with the Net Zero policy and contribute to sustainable development goals.

Given its proximity to Long Thanh International Airport, the Bau Can - Tan Hiep industrial park must leverage its location to create a competitive advantage over other industrial parks in the Southeast Region. The park should also set criteria to attract secondary investors with advanced technologies and high intellectual content.​

Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh urged the Provincial People's Committee to provide strong support to businesses in overcoming difficulties, with particular emphasis on timing. The sooner the project is completed, the better Dong Nai will be able to seize development opportunities.
