(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On August 14, a delegation from Dong Nai province, led by Member of the Central Party Committee and Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh, visited and worked with the government of Jiangsu Province, China.

Joining the delegation were Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Duong Minh Tuan; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee including Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization Cao Tien Dung, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Tran Trung Nhan, Secretary of Long Khanh City Party Committee Dang Minh Nguyet, Secretary of Long Thanh District Party Committee Duong Minh Dung, and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi, along with leaders from the Provincial Party Committee Office, departments, sectors, and localities.
At the meeting, the Central Party Committee Member and Provincial Party Secretary provided a brief overview of Dong Nai province, which serves as a gateway connecting the Southeast region with various economic zones in Viet Nam and internationally. The province holds many advantages for socio-economic development, including its proximity to the deep-water port cluster Thi Vai - Cai Mep (40km away) and its location approximately 30km from the economic hub of Ho Chi Minh City.
The province is set to soon have Phuoc An Port and, notably, the Long Thanh International Airport, which will begin phase 1 operations in 2026, with a capacity to serve 25 million passengers and 1.2 million tons of cargo annually. This development is expected to significantly boost the local economy and the entire Southern Key Economic Region.
Jiangsu Province is a critical region in China for industries such as electronics, machinery, textiles, petrochemicals, and building materials, and is renowned for its agricultural production, earning the name "land of fish and rice." Dong Nai seeks to learn from Jiangsu's valuable experiences to make significant strides in socio-economic development and to open up opportunities for cooperation across various fields between Dong Nai and Jiangsu. This includes sharing and exchanging experiences on new reform policies, investment attraction, urban management, finance, high-tech agricultural applications, innovation, and science and technology; as well as cultural, tourism, investment cooperation, and education sectors to further enhance the friendship and cooperation between the two provinces.
The Provincial Party Secretary extended a respectful invitation to Jiangsu provincial leaders to visit and work in Dong Nai in 2025, on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and China (1950-2025).
Representatives from the Jiangsu provincial government expressed their pleasure at Dong Nai's development, particularly the upcoming operation of the Long Thanh International Airport. The Jiangsu government agreed with the Provincial Party Secretary that both sides will strengthen delegation exchanges and foster friendly relations and cooperation across various fields. They also appreciated the invitation from the Dong Nai Provincial Party Secretary.
The leadership of Jiangsu Provincial Government also introduced the Dong Nai delegation to several outstanding achievements in the economy, culture, history, and people of Jiangsu Province. They highlighted strong areas for both sides to enhance exchange, mutual learning, and experience sharing.
