breakthrough field of developing modern comprehensive trade and services,
focusing on tourism and logistics services in Trang Bom District
Accordingly, the supervisory team of the Provincial People's Council conducted direct supervision of the Provincial People's Committee, several related departments and agencies, the People's Committees of Trang Bom, Long Thanh, Dinh Quan districts, the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City, and reviewed reports from other localities. The supervision results show that, following the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress, the Provincial People's Committee issued programs and plans for implementation. Various departments, agencies, and localities have made numerous efforts and actively implemented the breakthrough field of developing modern comprehensive trade and services, focusing on tourism and logistics services according to their functions, tasks, and the actual situation of each locality.
To date, projects for the development of trade services, logistics, and tourism services have been reviewed and updated into the province's general plan; the plan for the development of logistics services in the province up to 2025 and the vision beyond 2030 has been approved; resources have been mobilized to invest in the development of trade and service infrastructure; the logistics network planning has been completed in a synchronous and modern direction; several tourist points and zones have been invested in and put into operation. Supermarkets, convenience stores, and traditional markets has also been invested in and developed towards socialization. The management of trade and services at markets, convenience stores, supermarkets, and shopping centers has been strengthened in a civilized and modern direction, contributing to maintaining security and order and promoting the province's socio-economic development.
According to the supervisory team, generally, the implementation of the breakthrough field has achieved certain results but has not truly been groundbreaking or demonstrated modernity as per the resolution's objectives. Some targets have been achieved at low levels or have not been completed, such as trade services, which have 12 targets; to date, 4 have been achieved, 1 has not been evaluated, and 7 have not been completed, with 60 spontaneous business points remaining.
Some localities do not have logistics service centers, nor do they have large logistics business enterprises; the transportation infrastructure serving the connection of logistics zones does not meet the cargo transportation needs well, with frequent traffic congestion, especially in localities with many industrial zones. Tourism activities still have 3 unachieved targets, 66 spontaneous tourist points, and have not attracted potential investors to implement large projects, with transportation infrastructure lacking synchronization and connectivity between tourist areas and points.
The supervisory team has made several specific recommendations to the Standing Committee, the Provincial and District People's Councils, the Provincial People's Committee, the municipal and district People's Committees to focus on leadership, direction to overcome the mentioned shortcomings and limitations, create breakthroughs and reflect modernity according to the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.
