(News Portal – Dong Nai) - The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), Saigon Ground Services JSC (SAGS), and Lilama 2 International Technology College recently signed a strategic partnership agreement to train human resources for Long Thanh International Airport.
Leaders of the Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) and Saigon Ground Services JSC (SAGS) presented flowers to thank the provincial leaders for their support and facilitation.
Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Hong Linh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Le Tan Dung, Deputy Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs; Mr. Cao Van Quang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province; Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; along with leaders from various departments, agencies, and localities in the province.
Strengthening Communication, Providing Enrollment Information
The strategic cooperation signing ceremony with Lilama 2 International Technology College is a significant event, affirming ACV's determination to fulfill political objectives according to the National Assembly's resolution and the Government's directives, aiming to complete the construction and put Long Thanh International Airport into operation on schedule.
Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung congratulated the units participating in the strategic signing and emphasized that Dong Nai has been very attentive to providing trained human resources for Long Thanh International Airport.
The event of signing the strategic cooperation agreement between ACV, SAGS, and Lilama 2 International Technology College is crucial, creating opportunities for local youth, especially those from families whose land was acquired for the airport project, to work at the airport.
Vice Chairman Nguyen Son Hung requested that following this strategic cooperation signing, ACV and SAGS promptly provide the needs for job positions, the number of people required, and the training plans to be implemented for Long Thanh International Airport in the near future. Based on this, the province will direct units to coordinate in propagating and encouraging local youth to participate in training and work after graduation.
The Vice Chairman also directed Lilama 2 International Technology College to collaborate with the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, the Department of Education and Training, and the People's Committees of districts and cities in the province to enhance propaganda, provide enrollment information, and train according to the needs of ACV and SAGS as per the signed agreement, so that students and parents are well-informed.
Provincial departments, agencies, and sectors are urged to soon complete policies to support local youth in participating in aviation workforce training.
The delegates witnessed and congratulated the units participating in the strategic cooperation signing.
Focus on Cooperation in Three Main Areas
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu, Chairman of SAGS, stated that SAGS was established in 2004 and has continuously developed, currently serving as the leading ground service partner for airlines at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu indicated that as a member unit of ACV, the investor of the Long Thanh International Airport Project, SAGS identifies the successful bidding to provide ground services at Long Thanh International Airport as a strategic goal for this year.
With phase 1 of Long Thanh International Airport expected to be operational from 2026, the number of laborers needed to ensure service operations at this airport is nearly 14,000.
Mr. Dang Tuan Tu noted that the selection of Lilama 2 International Technology College as a comprehensive strategic partner was carefully evaluated by both ACV and SAGS. In the coming time, the parties will focus their cooperation on three main areas: training aviation human resources; manufacturing and processing components and spare parts for the maintenance of aviation vehicles and equipment; and constructing a complex with various functions for the staff, employees, and experts working at Long Thanh International Airport.
