(News Portal – Dong Nai) - As part of the program to pay a New Year's visit to investors and construction units of a number of key works and projects in the province, the working group led by Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh and Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Tan Duc, as well as leaders of relevant local departments and divisions, inspected the construction site of the Long Thanh International Airport project (phase 1).
Provincial leaders met, encouraged and wished the investor and construction units at the Long Thanh Airport project site a happy new year.
According to a representative, Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) - the project investor, to ensure the progress of the Long Thanh airport project, thousands of officials, engineers, and workers have carried out the construction throughout the Tet holiday at the project site.
With the construction items of excavation, the construction of the transportation system connecting route 1 and route 2 (T1 and T2) are also ensured by construction unit to follow the schedule.
The investor representative (ACV) shared with the provincial leaders the progress of implementing bidding packages for the Long Thanh Airport project (phase 1).
Up to now, the progress of package 5.10 - construction and installation of equipment for Long Thanh airport passenger terminal phase 1 is following the proposed plan. Construction management office items with a total area of 20,000 m2 were also completed, with enough capacity to accommodate up to 600 engineers from contractors' units. Relevant units have constructed temporary roads connecting to the existing public service roads of the project.

For on-site construction work, the investor is coordinating with supervision consultants and construction contractor partnerships to gather machinery, equipment, personnel, and prepare premises and camps to serve construction. The construction progress of items such as: station, runway, connecting roads... are all being accelerated.
