Representative of Asia New Generation Company Limited proposed a project to burn household waste to generate electricity at Cu Lao Xanh Waste Treatment Complex (Xuan Loc District). The advantage of this project is that waste does not need to be classified, it does not burn waste directly, but treats waste by chemical gas method, thus limiting biogas emissions. Wastewater is thoroughly treated in the premise of the project. The rate of raw waste is low, while the amount of generated energy ranges from 1.2 to 1.8 MWh from 1 ton of waste.
At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Phi said that Dong Nai was a province with a large population so there was a lot of waste. The province's goal is sustainable development so it is essential to have environmental projects with modern technology. The province acknowledges the interest of the Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in the city of Ho Chi Minh, Asia New Generation Company in the development of the province. This meeting is just the first step and in the coming time the two countries will continue to have exchanges, as well as promote projects that contribute to the cause of environmental protection, realizing the Government's Net Zero goal.
