At the Congress, on behalf of Dong Nai Journalists Association Vice Chairperson of Dong Nai Journalists Association Do Trung Tien presented a brief summary report on the 7th term and its directions and tasks in the 8th term.
The report clearly states that Dong Nai Press has grown rapidly and considerably in many aspects.
Up to now, Dong Nai has a fully-developed press network: newspapers, radios, televisions, and online newspapers, and a strong team of journalists in both quantity and quality with more than 100 professional ones, and more than 100 officers, civil servants, technicians, and those who are working for press agencies, and collaborators.
Press has made significant contributions to the province’s development, been active to call for, encourage, and guide the people how to follow the Party and the government’s guidelines, policies, and laws, and reflected people’s will and aspirations.
Press has found out and given encouragement to new agents and typical examples, taken part in the battle against evils and corruption, educated people about patriotism and national self-reliance, and improved people's knowledge.
The Association has made efforts to obtain a lot of achievements in offering political and ideological refresher courses to its staff. For instance, the Association has participated in national press contest, given assistance to high quality works, held “Golden Pen” contest, “Spring Newspaper Exhibition”, published Journal of Speech, and offered professional skill training courses to its members.
It also joins hands in directions and control over press affairs and strengthens its building and development.

Addressing the Congress, Secretary of Dong Nai Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh stressed that Dong Nai Press’s past-five-year achievements have made positive contributions to a successful implementation of Dong Nai Party organs’ resolution on annual socio-economic development tasks.
Thanh warmly praised Dong Nai Press for its achievements and overcoming many a challenge for a successful completion of given tasks.
Thanh also asked that press agencies keep monitoring the Party’s leadership and directions with the aim of seeking appropriate propaganda contents, that the Association be required to be an organization to help the province’s officers and journalists with professional skills, and to conduct research into and apply modern technologies to press affairs, and that the Association designs investment plans for wisely-selected equipment that helps it to “go quick, come first” in making printed press and modernization-based radio and television programs and meets public growing demands.

The Congress elected 15 comrades into the 8th Executive Committee of Dong Nai Journalists Association in 2011-2016 period. Mr. Mai Song Be was elected as the Association’s chairperson.
On this occasion, Dong Nai Party Committee, People's Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee offered the Congress a commendation flag with the slogan - “Loyalty – Solidarity – Innovation for the Future of Revolutionary Press” on it.
