Carriers Reduce Mobile Service Charges

HTML clipboard     After falling, basic prepaid mobile charges of the two carriers are VND118/first block, VND19.66 for every following second; MobiFone’s and VinaPhone’s calls to other carriers’ numbers is charged at VND138/first block and VND23 for every following second. Post-paid subscription is reduced to VND49,000/subscriber. MobiFone’s and VinaPhone’s in-network calls are charged at VND88/first block and VND14.66 for each following second, their calls to other carriers’ subscriptions are charged at VND98 and VND16.33, respectively.

    Specific charges will be applied to different types of subscriptions, including low-income user service, student prepaid packs, local prepaid mobile service, and types of connections, etc. According to VNPT, almost 60 million of its subscribers will benefit from these new charges.

    Viettel has just reduced its mobile charges by the same rate of VNPT’s. Accordingly, four post-paid packs (including Basic+, Corporate, Family, and VIP) will on average be reduced by VND100/minute for both in- and out-network calls. For seven prepaid packs (Economy, Tomato, Ciao, Happy Zone, Father and Son, Student, Hi School) also has 10% –15% reductions for particular packs.
