Viettel Corp. Grants 150 HomePhone Sets to Families under State Preferential Treatment Policy in Vinh Cuu District

On March 18, 2009, Military Telecom Corporation (Viettel) - Dong Nai branch in collaboration with Dong Nai provincial People’s Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee granted 150 HomePhone wireless fixed sets to families under state preferential treatment policy in Vinh Cuu districts.

The families are receiving the telephone sets.

    The prepaid HomePhone kit worth VND50,000 offered by Viettel includes one wireless telephone set and one prepaid SIM with VND15,000VND charged. In addition, user’s monthly subscription fee is exempted and VND15,000 will regularly added to their monthly account balance. With this program, the company is realizing its business philosophy closely attached to social activities and community development in order to offer its customers best service and reasonable price.

    Mr. Pham Tri Dung, director of Dong Nai Viettel branch said: “Viettel’s HomePhone-giving is the starting point of a large-scale program throughout 2009. This time, Viettel will give some 10,000 HomePhone sets worth VND5 billion (US$284,300) to 63 provinces and cities to offer poor families chances to use various phone services. The company granted 150 gifts in the hope to enable people to eliminate geographic distance.”
