First Half of 2011: 142 units’ Employment Law Enforcement Inspected

According to Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, in the first half of 2011, its inspectors performed the inspection of employment law enforcement at 142 units.

The inspection mainly revolved the enforcement of employment and social insurance law at 77 units and labor sanitation and safety and fire prevention at 65 units.

Through inspection, inspectors made 536 recommendations, had 18 violations documented, and got fines worth VND152.5 million (or US$7,355.28).

In comparison with the same period 2010, inspection sessions rise by 39 percent and account for 105 percent according to plans in 2011.

In addition, Department of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs carried out national labor safety and protection programs, and offered eight training classes on labor sanitation and safety that attracted the participation of 465 learners from 77 units, and businesses.
