September 8, Dong Nai is expected to hold a farewell ceremony for 1,350 young men to do their military service  in the second phase of 2011 - protecting the country.

Districts, Long Khanh town, and Bien Hoa city asked to recruit young men for military service is urgently completing preparation steps. Bien Hoa has carefully prepared for this event.

The quality of military recruits improved

Bien Hoa is,  in this military recruitment session,  asked to recruit 450 young men for the regular army. In comparison with last year, the number of recruits grows and recruits’ health, political ideology, and eduction are asked to be improved.

Thus, to fulfill tasks Bien Hoa Municipal Military Service Council and local authorities have had to take careful preparation steps for months.

Thanks to the Council’s fully grasping the situation, things  go smoothly as planned.

To ensure required military recruitment quality, wards and communes have made public announcements of recruitment requirements under the method “3-nomination and 4-publization” and collected public opinions on whether young men in neighborhoods, villages, and hamlets suit recruitment requirements.

Members of Bien Hoa Municipal Military Service Council have reached wards and communes to supervise and boost up the recruitment progress, and to deal with complaints in the process of recruitment.

Wards and communes have also formed local propaganda groups to call for young men to join in the army and protect the country.

In the process of implementing the military recruitment campaign, Bien Hoa Municipal Military Service Council, and wards and communes dealt with 120 young people’s violations.

Law-enforcement agencies in Tam Hoa ward opened a trial court and gave a ten-month sentence to a young person who has violated military service law for years.

* Movements for joining the army voluntarily

Good propaganda steps as well as preservation of justice and democracy during the recruitment process have greatly contributed to raising Bien Hoa youth’s sense of responsibility and enthusiasm to join the army and to fulfill the holy task that is to protect the country.

Voluntary applicants for military recruitment in the second phase of 2011 in Bien Hoa considerably increased compared with those in previous recruitment times.

Bien Hoa Military Headquarters’ statistics show that among 450 recruits this time nearly a 100 percent voluntarily applied for recruitment. There were 14 Party members and 50 young men who are college and university graduates.

This is a quite favorable condition to contribute to forming a stronger and stronger and more and more regular military force which has a good enough ability to defend the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under any circumstances.

It is known that Bien Hoa has finished calling for recruits to join the army.

Before recruits leave their families, committees, sectors, and unions have actively called for businesses and generous donors to make donations in cash and materials to encourage young people to do their tasks.

Bien Hoa Youth Union and grassroots Youth Unions at wards and communes have called for Youth Union members to donate “For young military recruits” savings for hundreds of young recruits. Each saving book is worth VND500,000 on average. These small sums of money show people’s love to those who will protect the country.

August 23, Bien Hoa Municipal Military Service Council re-checked all military recruitment steps through “Joining Military Camp” in order that all recruits will gather around at Bien Hoa Military Headquarters, take part in campfire and cultural exchange activities, and listen to veterans’ traditional stories on the afternoon of September 7.

On the morning of September 8, Bien Hoa will hold a farewell ceremony for 450 young men to join in the army units at Military Zone 7 and at Ministry of Defence.
