4.5 billion dongs of environment protection fees collected in 2010

In 2010, environment protection fees regarding industrial wastewater worth around 4.5 billion dongs was collected, exceeding 12 percent compared to the plan and gaining 91 percent as much as 2009. At the local level, the Office of Natural Resources and Environment collected 683 million dongs.

The results of environmental quality surveying shows that environment pollution still exits in some areas but the qualities of atmosphere and water environment have positive changes. Major index such as DO, BOD5, COD, TSS… showed better results than 2009, many of which met the environmental standard as prescribed.
