13th Youth Union Executive Committee Conference: Youth-Juvenile-Children Movements under Extensive Development

On the morning of July 13, the 13th Youth Union Executive Committee Conference took place in the hall of Dong Nai Fatherland Front Committee.

The conference was held to evaluate the performance of the Youth Union and youth-juvenile-children movements in the first half of 2011, and to implement the work program in the second half of 2011.

The conference

The conference affirms that in the first half of 2011, the Standing Committee at the Youth Union has made changes to directions, and directed activities at grassroots units.

The education propaganda has been promoted.

The construction of grassroots youth branches and expansion of solidarity and youth mobilization front have been paid attention to by levels of youth union.

In the first half of 2011, Dong Nai admitted 26,192 youth union members, bringing the total number of youth union members to 207,076.

26 grassroots youth union branches were established and 20,806 youth union members were admitted.

Levels of youth union has extensively implemented movements and organized many practical and meaningful activities for the Youth Year 2011.

Within the work program in the second half of 2011, the conference will focus on looking into youth union staff, get human resources ready for the youth union congress at all levels, and promote youth union member admission and nomination of elite youth union members.

Regarding plans to hold the youth union congress at all levels for the next term, which is scheduled to be held in January 2012 for grassroots units, in March for district level units, and in September for provincial level units.

Particularly, priority will be given to the nomination of elite youth union members who are virtuous and talented.

The focus will be youth union women, ethnic minority, and outstanding members.
