(News Portal – Dong Nai) - On April 22, Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Tan Duc, had a working session with Sonadezi Corporation (Sonadezi) regarding the production and business plan for 2024, as well as the difficulties and obstacles faced by the company. The meeting was attended by leaders from departments, sectors, and localities with investment projects by Sonadezi.

According to the assigned plan for 2024, Sonadezi Corporation must achieve a revenue of over 6.3 trillion VND, a post-tax profit of over VND 1.3 trillion, and contribute 651 billion VND to the state budget. The overall business results of the corporation in the first quarter of 2024 were still low. The revenue for the quarter reached 16.2%, post-tax profit reached 17.8%, and contribution to the state budget reached 19.8% compared to the assigned plan for 2024. The main reason is the objective impact of the economic situation, which has affected most of the member companies, especially those in the real estate and construction materials groups.
During the working session, the leaders of Sonadezi and its member units also raised difficulties and obstacles related to various issues in their production and business activities. Specifically, these included delays in land clearance, the electricity supply situation in industrial zones, difficulties and obstacles in bidding for waste treatment, waste reception and treatment, as well as the coordination and facilitation of relevant departments and sectors to enable the completion of documentation and investment projects.

Regarding specific issues raised by the company, Acting Chairman Vo Tan Duc suggested that the relevant departments, sectors, and localities closely coordinate with Sonadezi to resolve them. The provincial leadership also proposed that Sonadezi Corporation conduct an overall review of its organizational structure, operational regulations, and personnel in its member units in order to make adjustments and additions to fulfill its tasks. The corporation should continue to implement the restructuring plan for the 2021-2025 period, which has been approved by the Provincial People's Committee, enhance management capacity, and preserve and develop state capital. At the same time, it should prepare well for the planning of key personnel, fostering unity to build a strong development brand.
In the future, with the approval of the Dong Nai Provincial Planning for the 2021-2030 period and the vision until 2050, businesses will have more opportunities to invest in the province. The provincial leadership will pay attention and create favorable conditions for the overall development of businesses, with Sonadezi aiming to become the leading corporation in the province in infrastructure construction and business development.
